The most up-to-date information about the Texas Longhorn breed is just one click away with the first issue of E-trails now available to all TLBAA members.
E-Trails, an electronic version of the Texas Longhorn Trails, was created to complement the magazine, which members will still receive through the mail. But, for those eager to soak up Longhorn news before the magazine arrives or for those traveling, the information will be available online. E-Trails will periodically arrive in your inbox to bring you all the updated information you need to know.
The online information will be changed frequently in order to share with our
members updated articles featuring the people and the breed that are the heart of the TLBAA.
Providing members with the most current and accurate information is important to the TLBAA. Through its efforts, the number of cattle registered since 1964, has increased to well over a quarter million head. With such a large amount of Longhorns, possible topics to cover are endless.
"The founders of the TLBAA envisioned the organization as the 'voice' of the breed, and we feel the E-Trails and the Trails magazine are two outlets that make that vision possible," said Don L. King, president and C.E.O. of the TLBAA.
E-Trails will feature information on sales and shows around the country, as well as special events sponsored by the TLBAA or fellow breeders. Breeders will frequently see their name on the site as they attend events, participate on the show circuit and purchase cattle. E-Trails will also cover events of the TLBT and other items of interest found along the way.
Fellow TLBAA members Mike Crawford and Pam Watkins of M/C/C, southwest's leading marketing communications agency exclusively serving the technology industry, created the Web site. Dallas-based M/C/C offers marketing, advertising, public relations, cyberactive services and research for customers ranging from growing start-ups to some of the world's largest technology companies.
Also on the site is a breeder directory making it easy for breeders to find one another and for prospective buyers to locate breeders in the area. One click on a link brings up a breeder's Web site for all to see.
